Epsilon Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy is designed to resonate socially and environmentally sustainable practices that are transparent and ethical and is in compliance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. Epsilon, a firm believer in people and processes, strives to attain large-scale developmental and technological advancements in India.

While Epsilon endeavors to provide high-quality products with a vision to scale new heights using innovative technology, through its CSR programs it aspires to create sustainable quality growth whilst adhering to environmental norms. Epsilon’s commitment to be a responsible entity is built on the foundation of amplifying industrial growth that addresses societal needs through synergetic partnerships between beneficiaries, corporate partners, government institutions and non-governmental organizations.

CSR Policy
Epsilon Carbon Private Limited (“Epsilon”) is a producer of world-class products and services driven by its vision to scale new heights using innovative technology and creating sustainable growth. Epsilon firmly believes that, “the wheel of development cannot be fastened without industrial growth in any nation”. In line with this belief, Epsilon has adopted a Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR”) program that focuses on community welfare, environmental sustainability and social equity as the foundations of technological growth. Additionally, Epsilon is committed to foster rural development in villages which come under DIZ. The CSR programs implemented by Epsilon resonate with its mission to create an ecosystem that provides high quality products while ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Epsilon aims to continuously develop, implement and manage a wide range of CSR initiatives in line with its CSR philosophy.

Epsilon will engage in CSR projects in the following areas:
1. Education: Provide education and employment enhancing vocation skills and enrich the quality of life of individuals in the DIZ areas.
2. Women Empowerment: Promote women empowerment and reduce inequalities faced by the socially and economically backward groups.
3. Health Care: Promote preventive health care and sanitation.
4. Rural Development: Foster rural development and build the foundation for a developed India.
5. Environmental Sustainability: Ensure environmental sustainability, ecological balance, conservation of natural resources and maintain the quality of soil, air and water.

The CSR program will be carried out in areas where Epsilon operates with priority given to the villages in the 7-10 km radius of the plant sites or such other locations as may be recommended by the CSR Committee from time to time. The activities may be extended beyond the defined periphery in certain cases.

The Board of Directors have constituted a CSR Committee, which is responsible for executing and monitoring the CSR projects as well as complying with the legal requirements of Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. The CSR Committee will be responsible to formulate the CSR policy as well as to recommend the CSR projects and the amount of expenditure to be incurred on the projects for each financial year. All CSR activities will require prior Board approval.
