Epsilon Carbon has their main manufacturing unit in Vijaynagar, Karnataka. The present capacity of the plant is distillation of 220,000 tons of coal tar per annum.
The manufacturing unit was established in 2015 and is India’s first continuous vacuum distillation facility. The production process is controlled by an automated DCS system which allows strict control of parameters and thus produces high quality products.
All VOC emission’s are controlled by scrubbers. The whole manufacturing unit is Zero discharge and all effluent water is biologically and biochemically treated and reused. Epsilon Carbon maintains the highest standards in Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety system.
Epsilon has setup a strategic downstream pitch melting unit at Sambalpur, Odisha. It is set up across 10 acres of land and consists of 2 smelters and is located strategically in close proximity to the aluminum smelters such as Vedanta, Hindalco Industries Ltd, NALCO & BALCO.
The plant has an annual capacity of 50,000 tons per annum which will be expanded to 100,000 tons per annum by 2022.
Apart from this owned facility, Epsilon also undertakes job work at multiple location in Orissa & Chhattisgarh adding to the production capacity.
